Job Summary:
Interns will work with Sukup team members to maximize productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing setting. Interns will cross-train and move to various production areas as needed and learn key areas of the manufacturing process. Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality. Individuals will learn to operate various pieces of equipment and gain the knowledge and insight of advanced manufacturing. Interns will follow all safety rules and requirements. Overtime hours will be required. Some pre-employment requirements needed.
Job Duties:
Lathes & Machining Centers
The Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes.
Laser Processes
The Laser Processor will learn many aspects of the laser machine process along with the loading and unloading of steel.
Welding
Welders will set up, fit and weld metal components of various thicknesses to specified dimensions on moderately complex jobs by performing the following duties. Virtual welding simulation on site for utilization.
Product Assembly
The Assembler will read and interpret orders and drawings for customer orders to determine materials, process, and disposition requirements to assemble the customer order.
