Job Summary:
This individual will effectively lead and develop new and existing employees in the manufacturing area. They will be responsible for training employees and ensure compliance of all company policies/procedures with an emphasis on safety and product quality. They will assess individual and departmental performance and develop plans for change and/or improvement when needed. The supervisor will oversee daily operations of the assigned building/areas and make sure product and parts are completed in a timely manner to meet production goals.
Essential Job Requirements:
High School diploma or G.E.D. required, Associate’s degree preferred. Forklift certification preferred. Individual should have strong communication skills, product knowledge as well as the ability to read prints and shop orders. They should be a self-starter and have strong leadership skills. The ability to multitask and prioritize is essential. Confidentiality and professionalism are required, as position will deal with employee issues and other Human Resources-related issues that arise.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
Job Duties:
- Maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a safe work culture
- Ensure quality of product is maintained
- On time completion of product
- Effectively and professionally handling all employee concerns
- Maintaining accurate inventory & materials receiving
- Continuous Improvement
- Communicating needed information to workforce and management
- Monitoring machine uptime and output
- Preventative Maintenance
- Ensuring work areas and outdoor areas are neat and orderly
- Completing shortage reporting
- Assist with assembly of product as needed
- Time Approvals & Approve or deny employee requests for time off
- Opening and locking building
- Attend meetings as scheduled
- Special projects as assigned
- Overtime hours and some Saturdays may be required
