Job Summary:
This individual will deliver goods while operating straight truck routes in Iowa and Minnesota. Individual will be responsible for loading and unloading their truck.
Essential Job Requirements:
High School Diploma preferred. Experience with a straight truck, preferably 250,000 miles or more. Efficient and effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent problem solving required. Knowledge of truck parts and equipment is beneficial. Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, carrying, lifting, and climbing onto and out of vehicles daily or multiple times a day. Must remain fully alert and able to respond to sudden changes in work area and while operating vehicles and equipment
Preferred Skills:
Be able to utilize GPS system
Job Duties:
- Properly secure loads including pallets and stacker tubs
- Deliver loads, along specified routes to final location
- Unload goods which requires the ability operate forklift
- Maintenance of truck including fueling, keeping truck clean inside & out
- Track when truck needs servicing
- Turn in expense and mileage sheets biweekly
- Drive and act professionally while out delivering and while on-site
- Must follow all safety procedures, including wearing proper PPE while on duty
- Maintain visual acuity and concentrate for long periods of time
- Read maps and understand directions
- Other duties as assigned
