The design of Sukup Heavy-Duty Hopper Bottom Bins is among the strongest in the industry, with wide corrugations, extra-strong stiffeners, and heavy-duty hopper panels. The tank portion of our hopper bottom units features the same quality sidewall construction as standard Sukup Bins as well as the same extra-strong roof. Heavy-Duty Hopper Bins may be mounted on overhead super structures for loading of semis or train cars, used as a working bin, or used to store cool, dry grain for an extended period of time.

Standard Features

  • 15’ -30’, 3-12 rings tall; 36', 10-18 rings tall; 42'; and 48' also available
  • 2,000 - 64,600 bushel capacity
  • 16” Unload outlet is standard, 22” unload outlet available
  • 3/8" or 1/2" bolts round-head bolts used on hopper panels prevent grain from bridging
  • May be mounted on overhead super structure or used as a working bin

Hopper Features

  • 70 ksi tensile strength steel wide flange legs for extra-strong and stable base
  • L-shaped cross-bracing between the legs adds even more stability

  • 3' of ground clearance under the rack-and-pinion opener
  • 4' clearance on 36" - 48"

Roof Features

  • 15'-36' standard roof peak load rating is 5,000 lbs., evenly distributed on peak ring as pure vertical load with uniformly distributed roof snow load calculated from 40 psf ground snow zone or 105 mph wind zone as defined by ASCE7-10 Code
  • Rigidized roof panel with 3" ribs that serve as rafters, strengthening the roof sheets
  • Continuous eave clip attachment provides a strong roof to sidewall connection
  • Roof rings are standard on Sukup bins 18' and larger; exclusive, roof ring clips (U.S. Patent #7,654,048) ensure that roof rings stay in place for years to come
  • 20" x 35.5" oval manhole opening is a comfortable fit for most operators

What first brought us on board with Sukup was the issues we were having with the previous supplier of our dryers. They just weren’t quality. They just didn’t hold up. All of our dryer customers we’re able to service a lot better because of the higher quality products that Sukup’s providing us.
